Summer Holidays

Who, what, where etc?
Couple more weeks at work for me, then off to the UK for 2 weeks. We're going to be terribly middle-clarse this year and have rented an old cottage in a fishing village in Cornwall. Fresh crab sandwiches and lashings of ginger beer, hurrah!

Whereabouts in Cornwall? We'll also be down there, and are heading to the south of France at the end of August too.

Alberta and Idaho and Montana, in various combinations and durations, due to having two separate families coming from the UK and staying with us back to back through the whole of August. Should be fun, fattening, alcoholic and expensive.
Returning to work in September will feel like a rest.

Staycation.
But then every day is a holiday.
I know what Prince Charles feels like when the news says he's on holiday and someone says holiday from what?
But I do miss proximity to the rest of Europe.

I like holidays..................... I enjoyed a nice road trip to the US Open Golf in Philadelphia last month with my mate from England..... Cape Cod in early August, NYC for a weekend in late August and a jaunt to Florida in early November............... lovely beaches of Nova Scotia in between...... might have to have a quieter holiday programme for 2014 as all our parents/siblings etc are visiting for most of the summer.

Didnt get kennels booked in time, so maybe a weekend away with the dogster but more likely just a few day out here and there with a couple of winter breaks planned - possibly Vegas in the fall, somewhere warm for Christmas and a trip back to UK in the spring in time for the Enfield Pageant and a day at Santapod.

We don't take summer holidays. It's beautiful here in the summer. However, a week in LA and a week in Mexico is planned for December. It will most likely be raining here then.

On the last night of our road trip with visiting parents through BC, down to Spokane, then back through Coeur D'Alene, Kalispell, Waterton and home. All I can say is thank goodness for hotel swimming pools to wear out the kids every night after a few long drives! The folks thought Spokane was a bit rough and my Dad cried when he saw the scenery on the Going to the Sun Road. Didn't get nearly enough time to hit the US shops towards the end though

Heading up to Cambridge to get our house on the market, rented it out for the last 3 years, it's very hot here 31.5 yesterday 32 today, not the best weather to be decorating
why do we have to do this when we could be enjoying our garden and pool here in Kent , then off to Rhodes beg of Sept for a late summer holiday.
Enjoy your holidays folks x

Me and the OH had 8 days In Denmark just the other week although as work is a drag at the moment it seems longer than just the other week. We have three weeks in Australia from middle of November though to December.
No other holidays planned yet as still waiting on my LMO
