My beautiful ginger tom Elvis was run over this morning. so very upset he was the biggest softy you could ever imagine, snuggled his head right under your neck when you had a cuddle, follwed you everywhere just like a dog, rolled over so you could tickle his belly and even would follow me around the pasture when I was riding the horse.

I know theres nothing anyone can do to bring him back but he was always there for me when I needed a hug and theres been some pretty tough times recently, he even sucked it up when I made him a sweater in the winter because it was cold

Cheers all - its not a poor me thread and I don't know why I put it up really, but it is sooo sad when you lose a pet - cos all you animal lovers will know that its not just an animal, its part of the family. And something that goes through the good and bad times with you, without forming opinions, just there with unconditional love whatever it is you do.

I lost a cat to a speeding driver 17 years ago. He was a grumpy b*****d but I still think about him to this day....
