This story sounds similar to me to ones we see hints of here from people who move to remote parts of Canada, NS or NB for example. The lure of a big house with scenery. The reality of old houses, nothing to do, the need for cash to keep the place from falling down. It's not a particularly French story.

I was about to say the same thing.

I don't think she is any more clueless than thousands of others that pack up their lives.

I liked the article - at least she was able to take the piss out of herself and everyone around her. And admit to numerous faults. Good for her.

You must have better things to do. There is whole bright world out there to explore. Just open the door and lick ya finger and stick your finger up to see which way the wind blows and head in that direction.
