Wink Strange British sayings

Boris Johnson: The Tory mayor said claims political interference lay beyond the departure was "balderdash, piffle and tripe".

Do people really say such things or is Boris in a time warp from 1937 black and white movies. Oh the days of Ealing Studios.

Someone give Boris an iPod and a can of energy drink and fast forward him to this century, right on man.

R.

I say those words all the time...I also say tosh as in "absolute tosh" but maybe with a touch of knowingness.

Now Boris, he is special.

I don't say Balderdash or Piffle, but have been known to say that someone is talking tripe.

Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs.

It's six of one, half a dozen of the other.

You're not too big to feel the back of my hand.

(My parents are full of them.)
