Stag or hen nights.

There's loads of people that are married on here so I was just wondering what did everybody do for their stag or hen nights either in Canada or the UK? Where they themed ones with lots of people dressing up, activity based or was it just a pint and kebab with your mate?

My first marriage, was a disaster but the Hen night took place at the local greek restaurant, nice meal and a bit of greek dancing and lots of alcohol.
My second marriage took place in Florida on New Years day, New Years eve was spent in the Villa, with family hoping that the storm was going to go by the next day
My friend has just had her wedding shower, a bunch of girls at a friends house and tupperware
I am sure when she gets home to Newfoundland she will have more of a pi$$ up

I haven't really been on many, but my brother's was a good one back in the UK. We went greyhound racing followed by a casino. Of course I lost all the money I won at the dogs in the casino but that's not really the point.

I organized a stag night once. It would have been good had the groom not secretly arranged to meet his future missus at 10pm and then go home.

I went to one in DC a few years ago and it was it the most boring affair I'd ever seen. Seven Americans of various ages sitting around for a few beers. That's it, so after few phone calls I got a couple girls to visit us at the bar and they all just looked embarrassed and went home.

My hen night (admittedly a long time ago) was a polite and sedate affair with ages ranging from about 22 to 72. It was all going swimmingly until my friends brought out their home-made version of pin the tail on the donkey. Use your imaginations.
It certainly livened up the evening and there is something quite hysterical (after a few sherbets) about a 72 year old lady, blind-folded, trying to stab a condom into a large piece of cardboard.

I didn't have a hen night and will avoid going to them which is not surprising as I am a well known limey party pooper.

I'm off for my stag in 6 weeks. We're going to Barcelona for the weekend. Should be a giggle.
I've been on quite a few, mostly in various large towns & cities in the UK. Half of them have had activities like paintballing, go-karting etc along with the usual night out drinking.

we had a joint do a week before the wedding back in South Africa (we were living in London at the time). All our friends got together at a funky bar with a gorgeous view over the city lights and we just socialised. It was great fun though.
Went to a hen party many years ago - a bunch of girls & women sitting around, the hen being handed gifts wrapped in tea towels and she had to guess what the gift were. If she guessed wrong she had to find sweets in a bowl full of flour using only her mouth. There were also some disgusting concoctions that she had to drink. It ended with a male stripper tying her to a chair and doing all sorts of stuff to her. The girls looooved that! and I think she loved it even more. The stripper happened to be someone she once had a one night stand with - she knew him quite well and I'm sure she still fancied him a bit. Her marriage didn't last btw. She cheated on her husband with an old, fat, married man (with money). tut-tut
personally I think hen and stag nights are over-rated
