Hi

I know beds have been done to death, and I've searched and looked at the Wiki, but one teeny question.
I have an American king size bed, is that the same as a Canadian king size bed, and the equivalent of a UK super king?

I think it is, but want to be sure before I have it shipped.

Technically you don't have an American sized bed you have a North American sized bed.

It's not the same as a UK super king a North American king is 76" x 80", a UK super king is 72" x 78".

UK Super King is 72" x 78".

I'll add a note to the Wiki to the effect that Canadian bed sizes are the same as US bed sizes.

Actually, there are three sizes of King Size bed in North America.

The Eastern (or Standard) King size is 76" wide x 80" long. A California King size is 72" x 84" long. There is also one called a Grand King which is 80" wide x 98" long. We have never made a Grand King, and I'm not sure I would like to meet the client it fits.

Having looked at your link I realize that Yao Ming, at 7'6" and 22 stone, is quite a big lad.

Thanks, I'm not sure I'm totally clear what I've got, will have to get the tape measure out. But thanks for the info. BTW I'm not close to 80" wide or 98" long, so I don't think it's a Grand King, I just like lots of room to stretch!
