You've done it again Steve, fabby pics as usual. I love the last one- where was that taken?

And the first looks as though it should have a caption of some sort underneath it

Hope you and Mrs P had a good time

Thank you kind lady.:)

The last two were taken in Milner Gardens and the first two at Pacific Northwest Raptors

The little guy in the first photo is a Spectacled Owl and his name is Elton.:)

We leave in the morning for home, it's been a good trip. I needed the break.

It's a Humber Pullman, 1947, same age as me.

At least it has 1947 on the same bar as the AA badge.

Ah. I would never have guessed a Humber.

My Dad had a 1965 Humber Super Snipe....

Nice, but not as nice as the one in your photo.

Nice, but not as nice as the one in your photo.

Your Dad had a CAR! Dead swanky.

I thought you lived in a shoebox when you were young?

Me neither.

I was somewhat surprised to see that, very spiff looking.

Interesting aside, many moons ago I worked for Shell Canada in Edmonton and the building we worked in was the Milner Building which was also occupied by the law firm Milner, Steer etc. I often saw old man Milner in the elevator lobby.

Turns out he used to own the estate which is now known as Milner Gardens, that's likely his Humber.;)

Great pics Steve, glad your having a nice break.

I loved the house too, it's like something from a Miss Marple mystery!

But you probably wouldn't know what that is;)

Thanks all. :)

Here are a couple of panoramas taken while we were on the island.

The first is Rathtrevor beach at low tide the second a view from a little restaurant at Vesuvius ferry terminal on Salt Spring Island.

I quite like the second picture but I'm unsure as to how it will print as the sky seems to have gone a little strange in the processing. :(
