Hello all....just a quick update. Took google box back to Best Buy for refund as it was proving too difficult to work out the Expat Shield option. It also seemed hard to put any kind of virus protection on there (like I said, I'm no tech head) but I ended up with a porn pop up on day two of using it. Some on here might appreciate that 'free' entertainment ;) however, I nearly choked trying to get the damn thing off the screen before my son saw it. Quite funny when I think what my face must have looked like but anyway, if I wanted that kind of thing, I'd have asked. All I wanted to do was watch 'Have I got News for You'....

So I've now decided that a laptop/netbook is the way forward. Not pretty but with the things I wanted to do (expat shield, BBC, Skype etc) it really is the best option.

<sigh>

Shame they don't have a nice netbook to match my 'shabby chic' furniture....but I suppose I could always paint it :D

I'm pretty certain someone out in cyberland will love their Google Box but I just didn't get on with it. Shame, that.
