Sleep
#31
Night time sleep duration is 6 hours max. At the drop of a hat, I can go to sleep at anytime of the day, after 20 minutes I'm awake revived & fresh ready to go again. I have never ever needed a wake up clock since I came to Canada, even when I travelled overseas, my body just seemed to adjust to the local time zone, just like changing the time on a watch.
My wife on the other hand is a total insomniac. She has been this way most all of her life since her childhood. Test after test, sleep studies, its her body or mind that won't shut down. She is more awake & brain active when its time to sleep than during the wake hours.
Her sleep meds are 7.5mg Zopiclone (no side or after effects) that she has been on for over 10 years. She has to pay for these because they're not covered by the provincial plan. Major side effects for her with the Zopiclone is 'night time binge eating', not big eating, just snack on anything, so we do not buy or have any junk food in the house ever.
Prior to the Zopiclone, it was several different sleep aids one after the other that she tried, that never worked or that left her zonked out of her mind during the day.
