I remember doing that, the good ole days..... I actually miss it.

Brings up old memories of gate 34 in SAN when we would have 757 come in the nose when parked correctly was only 4 feet or so from the terminal windows and towards the end of marshalling it in, we could barely see the pilot and pilot could barely see us. Was always a slow and cautious Marshal with the 757 as it was a tight fit.

Never had one run into the window though that I am aware of.

757 was the largest plane that could fit into that gate but it was also the largest plane we had so worked for us.

Really was a piece of cake once you did it a few times. First time you do it and have this big plane coming at you is a little intimidating as it working with a turbo prop and having to be within a few feet of the props to remove ground equipment.

I hated turbo props.


I have been trying to get back into a job loading planes and probably applied a dozen times this year alone.

Seeing as very, very few are willing to show themselves.

Is the real me. Halloween 6 years ago this October at Disneyland at the Halloween Party.... Was fun, although man does time fly, last time I was there as well....
