Has anyone ever sent home made cookies to relatives in UK for Xmas? Any tips?

In our experience, mailing something to the UK can take up to several weeks at Christmas (mm...3 week old cookies....), and since you'd have to declare what is in the package, you run the risk of it being seized by customs (they can be iffy about sending food items, especially non-commercially produced stuff).
It would also cost you an absolute fortune to send a tin.

My fiance sent me a big tupperwear container of cookies last Christmas. They took over two weeks to arrive but they were delicious!
However: I believe Canada Post stung her about $35!

You've missed the cut off for surface mail to the UK by Christmas now, so air mail is your only option.
