Re: shaving
Ok, call me a divvy, but either I missed something or this is just odd:confused:
If he's old enough to shave, why isnt he old enough to learn to do it himself? If he cant handle a wet shave, get him an electric one. Some people are just sensitive....buy the "sensitive skin" shave gel if that the case, dont skimp on changing blades when they are dull, and above all, let the razor do all the work, dont push or go against the grain if its causing irritation. If none of that works, then go hairy. Its a blessing in the winter anyway. |

I'd try persisting with electric for a while if you can. The trick with shaving is to always let the blade do the work. Keep it clean and replace the blades periodically and it shouldn't be too irritating, and it will hopefully be easier for you if he can get used to it. Have you seen those Philishave "Coolskin" electrics, they have some sort of soothing lotion to help reduce irritation if he's really sensitive. Expensive though. |

Re: shaving
By the way, if you are still wet shaving I've never really got on with the lightweight BIC disposables, they seem too light to me and I feel like they sort of bump along because of it.
I feel like I have more control with a heavier weight handle with the disposable multi-blade cartridges. Doesn't have to be name brand...I don't see the point in paying twice as much for Gillette cartridges over the no name equivalent. Better to change more frequently than to pay more up front in my experience. Good Luck! |
