Default Setanta - excellent service!

We have had Setanta all winter for sport and their coverage has been excellent.

OH phoned them today to cancel coverage for the summer months. Ideally he wanted the cancellation to start immediately but, having experinced Sky's month long notice period, he was not too hopeful

However immediate cancellation was "no problem" and, by the time he got from the computer to the TV to check, Setanta was gone

We are well impressed by their customer service - what a change from Sky

Im not too sure...just keep an eye on your bank account..we cancelled ours and 3 months later they were still taking the payment via direct debit..phoned them so many times that i've lost count and finally had to send a letter telling them that i no longer wanted to keep the service...

We don't pay by direct debit. Our account is with Shaw and Setanta is just an extra item on the bill. We get an invoice each month and then pay it online via our Coast Capital account. All our accounts are set up at Coast Capital and we don't have any direct debits (I remember hassle with them in England).

So hopefully there shouldn't be any problems

I'm hoping that rugby - including league coverage - will make it worth keeping for the summer. There will still be footie leading into the new season plus international matches.

The 'summer' may not be that long to cancel for.

Hubby wants too add that too the cable bill for 15$ so he can watch the smurfs. Maybe the incident last night will change his mind?

So in reality your thread title should have read "Shaw Cable - excellent service".

I'm with Rogers and will probably cancel it from the 1st week of June until mid August. Rugby or Aussie Rules don't interest me. For footie it is 2nd to none.

With Rogers it is possible to negotiate prices so they may want me to keep Setanta for a bargain price

Steve - you are SO right It's just that my OH pays the bill and I didn't realise he had contacted Shaw - he just referred to Setanta I suppose I could blame OH for confusing me

Warrington v Castleford this afternoon.

That's live. There's often a live game Friday afternoons, plus delayed/rerun games.
