Hmm isn't Canada favouring female refugees?

I predict changes and more red tape for sponsoring a spouse in the US's future, especially is said spouse is of certain nationalities or citizens of certain countries.

Last I heard the refugees aren't so keen on Canada anyway. I guess they read the forum and realise it isn't the land of milk and honey.

Syrian refugees reluctant to resettle in Canada immediately, .....

The ones in Sweden aren't too enamored either, with many keeping on moving north and entering Finland, which is no better, and then Russia, which is downright hostile, ..... then heading back to Germany!

This discussion is also going on in the Syrian thread. It would be an interesting comparison to see what the response rate would be if the USA made similar offers.

Maybe the Canadian government should emphasize how good Canada will be for their children?

As someone mentioned earlier about them monitoring BE, experiences are going to vary.

Maybe forward them the photo of your mosque, and a few DVD's of Little Mosque on the Prarie. For reassurance.

More bad news. The article also states that 17000 have died in the region during the past six years due to Islamist uprisings. A reminder of the scale of threat Boko Haram represents.

We're going to find out, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Syrian restaurant in Regina next year. We've got an Afghan, Ethiopian, 1 real Thai, lots of Vietnamese and Chinese, a few sushi places, a handful of Indian, a few kebab places.... as many again that are fusions of those, (we have a lot of restaurants here) and not one Syrian place. I'm going to guess a fair bit of goat and sheep cheese.
