I have been reading this thread with interest as my old pre-historic oven says self-clean on it too. Unfortunately there are no instructions for it and I have no idea at all how to do it and it doesn't look to me like the last occupants knew how to use it either:blink:

Just below the control panel there is a little stainless steel botton do I need to turn oven on and press it or what?
