Seafood Restaurant Suggestions?
#1
My parents are coming to visit me in Toronto in October. Their first trip to Canada! They're also going to be here for their 30th wedding anniversary!
I know my Mum wants to go to a seafood restaurant, so does anyone have any good recommendations for seafood restaurants in Toronto? Maybe something on the waterfront?
First idea was the CN tower for dinner, but apparently that's too nauseating for my mum hahaha

have you tried looking on chowhound.com? It's a US site I think ,but they have discussion boards for Ontario and other provinces. Try a search on there and it should come up trumps.

I can stand by this place http://www.adegarestaurante.ca/
Fantastic Portuguese food, beautiful restaurant and located right downtown. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Why seafood in Toronto? I'm pretty sure that wherever your parents are in the UK, they'll be closer to the ocean than Toronto.

Fisherman's Wharf on Richmond is pretty good.

When we were in Toronto there was a boat docked on the lake that was kitted out as a restaurant. The seafood there was good. Cannot remember the name but you can't miss it if its still there.

I have never been to Toronto so don't know of any good restaurants.
However I would just like to say that I am extremely pleased to see that nobody recommended Red Lobster.

I believe that's the only restaurant I've ever walked out of refusing to pay. We thought the food inedible. A kerfuffle involving shouting and the brandishing of kitchen equipment ensued and continued even as we climbed into a rickshaw and made our escape. "You're stealing the money" some oik bellowed repeatedly.
Mercifully for the OP, it's gone bust.
