Default Seadoo, Jetski or Waverunner

We are Looking to get a personal watercraft for summer, long overdue getting one as we live just a walk from the lake, any one with any tips on what to get. Not looking at spending a lot, it's guna be an infrequent toy, 2-3,000$ is my budget.

I think the Yamaha is the best value for money - been weighing a lot up this year , on paper the new seadoo spark looks like good value for money but when you start adding on the things that you really need like reverse and a trailer its not quite so attractive

The OP is looking at spending $3000 though, so not a new one.

Watch out for the older Seadoos that aren't inherently stable - they don't stay upright with a person on them when stationary. B-I-L had a pair of these with a tandem trailer and they were just hopeless.

You can usually recognise these ones by the fact they are narrower.
