The Scottish Shoppe on 17 Ave SW also sells their products.
I can't attest to the quality as I haven't had their haggis in ages.

Thanks Editha for your facts, opinions, and insight. You've helped a lot. I'm going to find a recipe for Scotch eggs now before I go to sleep.

Why is it called a Scotch Egg? It contains no Scotch whisky, and should probably be called a Scot's Egg if the Scots are so uppity about being called Scotch.

I think it tastes much better than a Manchester egg or the Worcester egg.

What I've got is hot Italian sausage so that's what I'll use. I have Scotch but in the same spirit I feel free to substitute Irish.

Sorry I have fairly simple tastes and it wouldn't be worth paying 2x for a jug - even the Ballantines from summer 2010 is unopened but I prefer Irish over Scotch and Bushmills over Jameson's. No doubt imprinting from the formative years in the army reserve. Even though we weren't supposed to drink one of us was 21 and lived across from the liquor store so we just gave him all our money and he'd buy us bottles of Bushmills and cases of beer. Very lucky not to of been killed but back then we thought if we let the person who was most sober drive we were being good. Once past a dram of appetizer I'll pair the eggs with a cream brie, some jalapeno gouda, and a soft boursin with garlic and herb, French bread and an Okanagan artisan shiraz.

I haven't heard exactly what the proposals are for the currency...... or does the SNP regard it as a trivial detail to be sorted out later?

I want them to vote yes so much it almost brings me to tears. They could truly have a shining future ahead of them, if they cut themselves free and model themselves on the Scandinavian nations. In a few decades they'll be making a killing from pumping water down to a desperate England made thirsty by overpopulation and climate change...
Sorry, just feeling extremely pessimistic about the Old Country at the moment.
