I'm sorry for all Dee fans, even as an Arab I was looking forward to derbies again. What a disastrous finish to a season that started so well.

Congrats to Inverness CT.

Shame...it'd be good to have the twoo Dundee's in the league again...Maybe next year:fingerscrossed:

For a season that started so well , I cant believe it all went for kack like that - Probably just as well we didnt hang on or the results in the SPL could have been a disaster:frown:

Ah well, Rangers won the league and Celtic confirmed 2nd.

Just got the Cup Final to look forward to now!

2nd place confirmed for Dundee - so all we need now is for the powers that be to change the spl format and put 2 or 4 teams up :D

Hello all, this is my first time on here.

I am a Dundee United fan and am going to be stuck in Calgary on cup final day.....anyone know how I can get to watch it? A bar would be great but if not tv or online would be great.

Any ideas?

What a splendid opening post... !!!

Not sure what bars will be showing it yet, will start to keep listening out for who/where etc.

If all else fails, it'll be via internet at my hoose!

Tell us all a bit more about who you are, where you are and why you're here etc.

From a fellow Arab,

Jings.

A bit about me? You've put me on the spot now. Well, I'm not an expat- I live in London (from Edinburgh originally), but I do spend 2-3 months of the year over in Calgary as it's where my lady-friend is from.

I didn't plan very well and booked my flights a week early by mistake. I have managed to watch Dundee United at peanuts pub on a few occasions when I've been over - but only when they have been playing one of the ugly sisters - just need to make sure I find a way of watching it this year - not often we have this chance.

Re: The Scottish Fitba' Thread

Not good planning, sir!

Peanuts would have been the first bar I suggested, but as you say, the OF aren't in it this year so there won't be any Tinks or Orcs who want to start drinking at 8 a.m. Calgary doesn't have many United supporters, and even less Ross County supporters, so it may not be viable for the sports bars to open early for the game.

Will keep you posted if I find out who's showing it.

Re: The Scottish Fitba' Thread

Very doubtfull that game will be screened in Canada for being able to watch it in the pub (never say never though )- scottish cup has a different set of copywrite rules -

I refuse to watch it meself for obvious reasons :D (Could you bloody arabs not just have been happy enough getting 3rd place ) High quality links will be available though

Dont know if you're aware of this site http://www.myp2p.eu
It's generally pretty good, but depending on what software it's streamed in.
I always try and get games running on Veetle....free download and quality's a lot better:thumbsup:

I use the streaming lounge colin - we have 3 of our own veetle streamers - so usually good quality - I'm sure you have come across our veetle streams on p2p - We seem to have an unwritten sharing agreement

Not me personally Colin TSL1 is Hinge , TSL2 is TonyB and TSL 3 is Nobby -(with various different numbers behind them depending on how many times Sky shuts them down :D )

Hinge and Tony have some of the fancy motorized satellite deals so they can stream some games that not a lot of others can get

2 of them are stoke fans and 1 is a liverpool fan so their own games take priority but they have been great streaming the Scottish games for some of us - even managed to get the Dundee games on Alba this season from hinge

worthwhile signing in and having a looky around

Agree. His defence that he was scared the guy was Russian Mafia doesn't stack up... why had Higgins and Mooney flown to Kiev and arranged to meet someone in a hotel room? Who were they expecting to meet?!

Made contact with Calgaryarab, and it appears that Peanuts on McLeod will be showing the game after all.

So all Arabs (and teuchters!) in the Calgary area should head down to Peanuts at 7:45am tomorrow...!!!

nldfc May 14th 2010 11:14 pm

Re: The Scottish Fitba' Thread

Thats a bit surprising considering the fa cup is on at the same time

Hope its on for you lads - bit more fun watching it on the big tv in a boozer rather than hunched up over your computer screen

Forgive me if I dont wish you luck though

Calgaryarab May 15th 2010 12:43 am

Re: The Scottish Fitba' Thread

If peanuts had only one screen it might be a little surprising, as it has about 43 screens it's not even a little surprising.

Stop trying to spoil our day, chancer.

'mon the arabs!!!!

nldfc May 15th 2010 12:48 am

Re: The Scottish Fitba' Thread

Peanuts could have 200 tellys mate but none of them are any good if you dont have a source :D

I'm not a bitter blue nose - the season you lads have had, you deserve to take something out of it and I certainly dont grudge you having a good day out

will pm my e-mail to you - If the game isnt on give me a quick note and I will nip home and put a veetle link up

ps On days like this living in a province that is virtually arab free is always a good thing :D no-one to spend the next week at work rubbing it in
