Scots give the UK a bad reputation again.

Yes I did read it thanks and If you read my reply properly you will see I was saying it (the Yule log) would go the same way as the deep fried mars bar - which was from Stonehaven - and after the initial gimmick aspect wore off very few (sensible) people could give a toss about it.
I very rarely eat fried food thanks, but obviously Scot-bashing seems to make you feel happy and superior.
Don't tell me not to react to the nastiness of your tone though, just because you think you're amusing.

By the way, I have eaten a deep-fried mars bar, from the chip shop (now long since gone) that used to be on Spital near the junction with Merkland Road in Aberdeen. It was an interesting experience, and I'm glad to be able to say that I have tried it, but I won't be in a rush to repeat the experience. That chipper, however, did do quite excellent bridies as well as a really good fish supper, and usually had a vat of stovies bubbling away on winter evenings. All good fare for an umemployed layabout such I was when I lived there.
I'm not Scot-bashing, merely pointing out the over-the-top reaction that some BE users have when anyone makes an even slightly barbed comment at their expense. I'm sure you are always perfectly polite about the English, after all...

1 in 5 chippies would offer to do one for you if you requested it, and they only sold on 'average' 1 or 2 a day that is a vanishing culinary form as far as I'm concerned.
You wouldn't think it when compared to the amount some newspapers etc bang on about them though.
I actually have English parents so would have to be careful about slagging the English off.

Actually saying that, in my 27 years as a Scotsman I have never seen one in real life, or heard of anyone eating them.

What's wrong with a deep fried mars bar in batter anyway? Isn't it essentially a chocolate caramel pancake?

You said the same in post 8, though you chose to use a different set of offensive words.
Get over yourself, FLs weak jokes are far from being in the same category of offensiveness. There isn't even a rude word for Scots is there?

To each their own but obviously some found them offensive.

Go though a phone book for Trinidad or somewhere similar. Anyone with a Scottish surname will be black descendents of former slaves, who took their owners' surnames.
There is somewhere in my family a Scottish book of jokes (Canny Tales Frae Aberdeen). It is quite old. It would make Hitler blush and Farage would crap himself to be found in possession of it.

The bigotry in Scotland and in Ireland was seeded by the English so they could clear the highlands and control both Scotland and Ireland.
It didn't work too well for them in Ireland though, many of the Orange lodge idiots still fail to understand this when they parade on their drunken hate marches through catholic areas,I still don't understand why these retarded walks are allowed in 2014.
I'm Protestant from a mixed family before there's any comments.
