Hi guys
We are thinking about hiring an RV for the touristy part of our trip to BC next summer. Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced RV hire companies local to the Vancouver area? Any advice also welcome on life in an RV as it will be a first for the four of us!
Thanks
Lara

It's a list of dealers in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area that rent RV's
You see a lot of these units in B.C. and Alberta
http://www.cruiseamerica.com/ yes they do rent in Canada.

We rented a Fraserway from Calgary (they are also in Vancouver) a couple of years ago and they were reasonable. We booked through Canadian Affair when we booked our flights for our recce trip.
If you are planning on RV-ing over the Canada day weekend, then you should book your campgrounds or get there really early, otherwise you could spend hours looking for a vacant spot.

Thanks Steve and Piff Poff for all this great info. This gives us somewhere to start.
We are planning to go as soon as kids break up from school at end July, or beginning of August. Will we need to book ahead for parks do you think?

Weekends in the popular places get filled up pretty quick, weekdays you should be fine. We had trouble finding a spot where there was swimming and electric on a Friday evening - everything had been filled up during the day. We ended up with no hookup (no water/power/sewer) but with the swimming and it was OK.
