Don`t consider a career in the souvenir industry.
I think the size was perhaps so there is room to fit all his offences on, rather than so it would fit him...

The way Mr Ford is performing they might want to leave room for expansion then, just in case like.

You don't seem to understand. He's not "lost the plot with the taffia" or whatever the local equivalent is. He's smoked crack, lied about it, been caught out, admitted it, acknowledged that he doesn't actually remember the detail because he was in a drunken stupor, and has refused to resign or take leave despite even his brother suggesting it would be the sensible thing to do; there's still speculation that there's more, and worse, to come.

The international media coverage is not, and never has been, about the politics - nor would this be a story at all if politics was all there was to it. No, this is a human story of a powerful man being brought low by his own stupidity, and refusing to acknowledge the enormity of the hole he's in.

Toronto is Canada's largest city. Imagine the international attention if this was Boris. Hell, he was even all over the TV last year when he got stuck on that stupid zipline thing during the Olympics. What would the world's media do with a story about him and drugs, gangs, booze, murder and extortion?

Most people beyond Ontario (let's face it, most people within Ontario too) don't give a stuff about the gas plants. SO some politicians wasted some tax money. And in other news, a bear took a dump today in a forested area. And it was revealed that the Pope may well, in fact, be a Catholic.

Is there a mechanism to remove him? Will he be able to serve out his term if he insists on doing so?

Torontonians must be so proud to have him as Mayor. He's one bad bottomed muddyfunster.

EDIT: This mashup is a work of genius.

Unless he's hauled off to jail, no, there's no mechanism to remove him. At the end of this term I think he has a good shot at being elected for another one.

He hasn't even been kicked out of the Conservative Party.

It's just his homage to Rowley Birkin QC

Oh, I meant he'd get re-elected as Mayor. I think it'd be ambitious of him to consider a run at Harper's job though I suppose he does have better hair.

Oh i realise what you meant, what i meant though was that the Conservative Party hasn't disowned him, hasn't said on yer bike you can't play with us anymore.

I must admit to already considering the similarities. the Rowley character, ultimately has pathos though, and Rob Ford doesn't.

Id be surprised if drug use or illegal activity would trigger that, who would be left!

Someone ( I forget who, a Toronto councilor I think) is trying to introduce an emergency bill in the provincial legislature to provide a legal basis for ditching him. I doubt the province will interfere though, its far too good for all the MPPs that Rob Ford is deflecting all the media attention away from them.
