We used to see sections of road and highway with numerous paint markings when they were doing such testing, haven't seen any recently though.

To AX no cats eyes in Alberta, the only places I've seen them are the lower mainland of B.C. and Vancouver Island.

The worst roads we've come across in North America were undoubtedly in New York. Driving from there to Kamloops nowhere was as bad, and that included going across the Dakotas, which presumably aren't that different from the Canadian provinces a little further North? There is certainly something about how much money you put in your budgets and how much wear and tear the road gets.

Every day I am seriously thinking about mapping the worst spots on 401. For example, going eastbound in middle lane between 305 and 312 kms is a half-suicide.
