Reccie Visit to NS 13-20 March
Hi all,
Out on reccie 13-20 March. I have already had many tips and sound advice.
All much appreciated.
Very much looking forward to the busy week ahead.
Number one priority is some headway on the job front , any info on potential recruiters ,current vacancies would be great.
Rob

It would really help people to advise you if they knew what sort of job you are looking for.
I can tell you where they are recruiting for nurses, but if you are not a nurse that's not really any help to you is it?

I currently work as a support services (facilities) manager in the healthcare environment. This is non-clinical and covers pretty much everything apart from engineering/maintenance ie catering, cleaning, transport, security etc.

Right. You should definitely phone any major hospital (or other institution) that you are considering applying to BEFORE you leave the UK. Ask to speak to the HR manager and make an appointment.
If they have a post advertised on their website that you are interested in then tell them that you would like to look around before submitting your application to see if it may be right for you.
You are unlikely to get an interview for a job that is currently advertised as they will have to wait for all the applications, but if you have met the recruiter then it will give you an advantage at your telephone interview later.
Personal contact is everything, do everything you can to get to see people, including giving them as much time as possible to get you into their diary.
