I remember the odd siren test too.

I remember nothing, no sirens, no bloody ears, no tree stumps. My brother did stuff but that was through his work

Was this staged or real?

I'm going for staged.

It seems to be real. Smith's emotion was very high after the physical event. Having said that, certainly someone at the Oscars decided it was good publicity for the show.

From watching that footage, Id say it was staged... the reason I say that is because Chris Rock's rock reaction was not at all shocked, he didn't hold his chin, or have any reaction to tell us it came as a surprise... the only thing that did look real was Will Smith's face when he shouted at him angrily... but he's a professional actor, thats what he excels at.

Well that could also be part of the act. Who knows. if so there is an absence of any class on both sides.... both unprofessional behaviour.

Rock shouldn't have made that kind of joke, and Smith shouldn't have resorted to physical violence, if Smith had been a mere mortal like any of us, security would have had him out on his ear quicker than he could have said "getttin' jiggy with it"... lol

Zelenskyy singled out UK for his praise. Its true, Britain seems to be punching above its weight and has provided more military help than most. They are in the process of providing “new type of weapon” to Ukraine. Not sure what but could be ballistic missiles. Foreign Office has been very consistent in its messaging as well.

At the same time Zelenskyy took a well deserved swipe at Macron. His regular discussions with Putin are beyond confusing. They are helpful to Putin. An average Russian knows that corruption and mismanagement messed up the economy but he thinks that Putin is a smart operator and ensured that Russia is “respected” on international arena. The best way to debunk this myth is to ignore the war criminal. Biden got this right ever since their meeting. Instead Macron keeps stroking Putin’s ego.
