She remains the best of Nans , that's for sure. Do her proud then and keep skinny. |

Amazon seems to be getting more wasteful. I ordered some household supplies, 6 items in total, the labels all indicate they originated at the same fulfillment center, they were all delivered by the same person. Amazon sent each item in its own box, 6 boxes for 6 items.
Chapters Indigo is doing the same sort of thing. I ordered 6 books and 2 other items a couple of weeks ago, qualified for free shipping. They arrived in 6 separate packages ............... 1 arrived one day, 3 arrived 2 days later, and then 2 the next day. Only 1 came in a box, the others were in cardboard folded to fit. The postie just left them between the screen door and the front door, only rang the bell for the last one which was 1 box and a cardboard packed one. OH answered the door bell for that last one. Saw an envelope inside the house that had come through the mail slit ............ VERY unusual that happens. So he picked up the letter, told me he didn't know why the postie had rung because there was nothing special about the letter. It wasn't until we went out almost an hour later that I found the 2 packages, which WERE the reason she'd rung the bell. The Bay still uses extra large pocket bubble wrap strips for items that come in boxes, but not for ones that they send in thick plastic bags. As items of clothing are not likely to get damaged, I can only assume that the strips are used to fill space. |

I guess for these companies they go with the most efficient method for them.

The title CRA used in their job posting on indeed, amused me....
"Don’t miss your opportunity to join the CRA and help provide world-class service to Canadian Taxpayers." |

Legendary Canadian bartender's dying wish was for toes to garnish cocktails
‘Captain Dick’ Stevenson requested all 10 of his toes be donated for use in the ‘sour toe’ whiskey cocktail he invented. The drink consists of a mummified human toe at the bottom of a whiskey shot, and patrons at the hotel must let the tip of the toe touch their lips in order to qualify as having successfully consumed the cocktail. |
