Another report in Toronto news tonight that a dog had to be rescued today from a car, where interior temperature had reached over 60C. The only thing worse would be to leave a child in such conditions. People responsible need to have knuckles severely rapped, pay a sizeable fine and never be allowed to own pets ever again. Also their names and photos should be published. Where TF are their brains. I can think of no mitigating circumstances for such behaviour.

Not sure how I am still awake. Its 2am Monday and I have been up since 330am Sunday.

Saw the fireworks kind of sorta a tree was in the way for a full view.

Which is why I was advocating equal rights and freedom of choice for the elephant.

Missed out on the pension plan, unfamiliar as to how those work in Canada.

Are you talking about CPP (Canada Pension Plan) or a company pension? If you want to post about it I'm sure we can let you know :)

Not sure how company law works in your neck of the woods.

In the UK one can form a limited company with just two people; a director and an accountant. One would get a visit within a few months from a VAT inspector, then all being good one is up and away.

When I put my company up 30 odd years ago, my accountant wasn't even present for the VAT inspection, so may well have been an elephant.

She wasn't as it happens, but there's a way in with an aptly named elephant accountant.

So, I could have put my theoretical elephant into the company pension plan.

I registered a company once with only myself involved, but no elephant. When I opened the company account at CIBC the lady asked if I had a corporate seal and I said "They won't let me keep one in my apartment."

Yes it is. As is negative comments everyday and absolutely no appreciation. It's much worse the the owner has retired from her government job and is coming in most days. I used to avoid her most weeks.

Indeed. Employers need to appreciate their employees more. Most difficult thing about my job is the favoritism and lack of genuine appreciation.

I like the job itself, just wish it was direct employment with an airline, its night and day working directly for an airline vs a ground handler, just Air Canada is the only airline with its own staff, but the pay cut is too much so I can't currently consider it. I would be taking a 5/hr pay cut plus going from full-time job to part-time job.
