Ah, so it was a sudden thing then. I was going on the basis you wouldn't have done the deed without planning body disposal, alibi etc.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Apparently HID's halloumi nut casserole she attempted last week had a bit of a malfunction and as we're doing the ThnxG meal this weekend it was suggested I came home early to put the oven on to the self-clean function. Still, it does mean that while my eyes are watering and I'm generally being asphyxiated, I can have a peaceful afternoon of drinking and Xbox.

Pilots who try and blame ground crew for something they failed to do are not cool.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
From a Guardian article about how to write complaints:
Take your correspondent gently but firmly by the elbow, rather than bashing heads. Once an exchange gets oppositional or abusive, it will stay that way. I’ve been let off parking tickets by writing politely and apologetically to the council to explain the circumstances. I’ve never got anywhere by calling someone a jobsworth. |

Good advice for those who use the word. |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Received a threatening and random call from a very incompetent scammer this morning.
It was a CRA scam: “you MUST provide all your bank and credit card details RIGHT THIS MINUTE because the MOUNTIES are on their way to arrest you RIGHT NOW!!!. You have 2 minutes before they arriveâ€. Now, this was amusing to me (not least because I played dumb and requested service in French as well as asking for their mailing address...), but not so amusing when one thinks of others who may not have a good grasp of English &/or the way CRA/government agencies here function :(. |
