Has there been any other topic of conversation since ?

Yes. I'm back. We got in at 1am and had decided to stay the night at the Montreal Airport Hilton before coming home. Won't do that again. It's hard to sleep with an Airbus taking off a couple of hundred feet above your bed.

Very nice vacation. For some reason, the gnawing ache in my stomach that had been bothering me for six weeks (six continuous weeks of 7/7 work) went away, my pulse flatlined and I put on weight (a good thing, because I'd lost a fair bit). We're both well-relaxed, which is just as well. I know that the shit is going to hit my personal fan tomorrow and Souvette starts a new job.

Lovely people, the Cubans. They become even more lovely if you know how to tip properly.

No sign of the fragrant Mod. I know where she was staying but her resort fell outside of our beach hikes (it's a very, very long beach).

Jolly Good. I had cause to find a hotel room at short notice near Montreal Airport (AC, winter weather, connecting flights, nuff said) and ended up at the Holiday Inn. Rather bizarre in a 1980's way but at least far enough away from L'aeroport to not be affected by noise.

Sounds good. I tried to do the same thing at home with similar results. Only problem is that I didn't need to put on the weight!

How disappointing. Mind you in the current climate of supression of free speech not posting aforesaid pictures is probably the smarter move.

Oh, muchly, and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that there was no snow to shovel when we got home. One of my darling neighbours had blown the driveway and path.:)

Up until yesterday pretty good. :)

Came down with a cough.

Feels like I'm getting hit in the chest with a 2x4 every time I cough, getting better today though hopefully it'll only be short term.

Your poor sod. I've never been through what you've had done but I've had a cough/cracked rib combo, so I have a rough idea of the discomfort. Try tightly wrapping your arms around your chest before coughing.

Also, consider Buckleys (which does work) or a strong laxative (major disincentive to coughing, particularly in public).

I'll tick you off even more now.

It's cold and snowing like a ba$tard here. I've just had had a phone conversation with a guy in Brazil. I'm heading off there in a week. He's paying.

Bummer;)
