This purse belongs to me :)
I was just changing some stuff over out of my purse to another one and I thought "god there's a lot of shit in here" but then laughed because I reckon if someone that knew me found my purse (and my id wasn't in there) they'd know exactly who it belongs to because it contains
about $3 in loose change kicking about at the bottom
4 lipsticks in various tones of nude
mascara
1 nearly empty packet of smokes
concealer
4 lighters
small tin of fishing flies
leaflet about raising pheasants
leaflet about Elk conservation
brochure for Huntfest
Paintbrush
Necklace
pair of earrings
Advil
Pen
Elestic band
Leather 'work' gloves
Hair comb
various receipts from Peavy Mart and UFA
Whats in your purse (sorry handbag - been ere too long) and is it "you"?
Suppose this could apply to blokes as well if you carry one of those manbags or a briefcase - or whatever guys carry their stuff in.
What do guys carry their stuff in????????
No don't answer that - my f****g handbag in this house!!!!!

Keys, wallet, phone. In my pockets - not a manbag, that's just gay.

Keys and wallet in pockets. Most small change removed until needed.
No phone.
Backpack if I need anything more.

Re: This purse belongs to me :)
My bag is actually fairly tidy at the mo' as I have just switched over - obviously leaving the crap I don't need in the other bag(s).
I am currently using my little Union Jack bag bought for 6 quid 2 years ago that has lasted a surprisingly long time, it's contents consist of:
Wallet
phone
diary picked up from show home, I have to write everything down these days
receipts for I don't know what and should probably throw
info leaflets on ammonite and nautilus orthoceras
hotel key from spring for the International in Calgary
A photo of me and my Mum, one of me and my Dad, one of me and My Hubs, one of my kid and one of a ground squirrel
A bag of mints
A pen
A tampon
a fruits and passions gift card that I won from work
some price tag labels for clothes I bought from work - don't know why they're in there.
some zantacs
pack of tissues
a folded up piece of yellow paper, on close inspection it's for my availability for work last Christmas.
And yes, I have just put everything back in after dragging it all o ut to see what was in there

wow - you really carry all that crap around with you? I guess I travel light:
purse / wallet (whatever you want to call it)
phone
hospital ID badge/swipe card
lip balm
pens
deodorant & spare pair of knickers (for when I'm out at work more than 24 hours in one go!)
cereal bar
purse / wallet (whatever you want to call it)

Re: This purse belongs to me :)
don't do what I did.
Waiting for streetcar , thinks "gosh I have a lot of crap in my bag"
empties crap into bin
gets on streetcar " oh crap where is my metropass?"
looks back in disbelief at said garbage bin
It was near the start of the month as well. $100 in the can as it were.

Re: This purse belongs to me :)
Why do all these women need so much crap?!
Wallet
House keys
Work keys
Phone
Hair brush
Lip stuff
Umbrella (force of habit more than necessity)
Assorted post-it notes and bits of paper (all of vital importance at one point)

Continuing the trend for the chaps:
left front pocket: keys, handkerchief
right front pocket: small change, USB data stick, phone
right back pocket: wallet
attached to belt: swipe card for office access
that is all, but in the interests of full disclosure, it's not quite the complete picture.
I carried a laptop backpack into the office, containing a laptop (duh!), a daybook, three pens and a pencil, assorted bits of paper (mostly drafts of documents to edit), a remote "clicker" for presentations, a bunch of business cards (mostly mine, some other people's), some receipts to file for expenses (must do that...), a mouse, cellphone charger, a bluetooth headset charger, and three additional USB sticks.
And an insulated lunch bag containing a piece of sausage and ham pie, some salad (tomatoes, peppers and cucumber from the garden, with some baby spinach and a bit of non-fluorescent homemade vinaigrette), two apples, some peanuts, and a bit of bruschetta that needed finishing up, with some crackers to go with it.

Pockets: building pass, car key, cash, phone.
But, if we count the car as my purse, that's quite another story.
