A huge move and, obviously, well thought out. I was helping a German friend who was looking for a large acreage and privacy, but he also wanted to be within an hour or just past of hospitals and amenities..I understand if you are feeling a bit burnt out by your recent life; it is hard with so many people and such as space, but I live on the ocean on the south shore, I can't really see my neighbours and I have all the privacy and peace I need.
I do caution you to consider that Tatamagouche/Pugwash area carefully, a little bit of something can be good, isolation, being snowed in, possible power outage...there is no panacea here, so I would take that big leap and stick closer to the Halifax and still have your want. I see Blockhouse was interesting to you.
Anyway, that is just my two cents worth, I grew up on a large farm here, and it has its merits, so don't let me talk you out of the dream, but maybe just the location.
