Any suggestions for a fairly decent, non too expensive, not ink drinking one?
Or where to take my Epson to be fixed as dear son rested feet on it when it was under the comp table and now the paper feed is wonky!

You can buy a new HP Inkjet Printer, photo printer, scanner/copier unit (with ink Carts) for less than the cost of the 2 ink cartridge refills

yep , i think its usually the case that the printers are loss leaders and the ink cartridges are the expensive bit.
although it doesn't do colour , I think our laser printer was a good investment, toner seems to last for ages

I had a Brother laser printer/copier/fax machine, but the USB jack stuck out the back until I pushed it against the wall and snapped it off! Now it's just a copier/fax machine.

The last couple of printers I've bought have been Canon inkjets and they've been ok. Expensive ink cartridges though, even when I buy the set of five at Costco. I will probably try a set from this place next.

Actually, some companies will accept faxes compared to emails which can be intercepted or faked.
Some gov deps/banks, state they wont accept emails as instructions
Used my the fax part of my all in one several times, for insurance companies etc,
also hardcopy is far better, your pc ever crashed and burned
howmany times has your house crashed and burned?
I rest my case...
