This must be my biggest bug bear!!! Almost...
I was behind somebody who wasted 20 minutes of MY time this week... I asked the checkout lady how much people save price matching...apparently not much, $5 tops. It should be banned or there should be a checkout specially for price matchers! teach them a lesson!!!

I can understand people driving back to the store and getting a price match refund if it's above $10, but I couldn't be arsed with queuing up for $5 or less.
Refunds is another topic, holy shit, the stuff people return after they have blatantly used them is another issue. Tents, coolers, tools, Christmas lights, you name it she has seen and heard it all.

(Clicked on the thread with trepidation, in case you were going to go on about how much you saved, and I would have to imagine myself behind you in the queue tutting and eye-rolling.)

My Wife is the 'cash manager' of our local Canadian Tire, you would not believe the stories I hear every single night regarding refunds and price matching.

We have that with TESCO, but it's all done at the till and you just get a printed bill which says either 'today we were xxx cheaper' or 'brand matching has resulted in a discount of xxxx'. No queues just automatic, yesterday we got a discount of 5p, at other times we've had discounts of up to £3 or TESCO were cheaper by £3, usually that occurs when we take advantage of their current cheap tea bags offer, usually £3 off the RRP.

Because they make a big song and dance about always having the lowest prices! I think JL has auto price matching (at least on their website) not wanting to be, knowingly undersold, and all that.

) but I see a printed bill which says either 'today we were xxx cheaper' or 'brand matching has resulted in a discount of xxxx' and I think what a waste of time telling me that when that's what their promise is. Just do it without the fuss and I'll be more impressed.
