Others who have trodden this same path tell me there comes a moment when you say "Stuff it" and just close the chapter off in your mind. That frees you to relax, pour yourself a glass of bubbly and toast to the new life. Best of luck for Saturday. |

Re: Pre move wobble
It's the bloody leaving do's that have caused me to wobble, thats now pure panic!!!
I know I'm doing the right thing, I'm certain that it will work out in the end, but everything just seems so up in the air. I'd be better if I knew the car and house had been sold, and that Al had a definate date for moving. I'm in a panic |
Re: Pre move wobble
I'm on the next 3 nights so in case I don't get the chance after THE VERY BEST OF LUCK (although you'll not need it - you'll do great over there).
Your very brave going on your own initially. Keep in touch with BE and let us know how it all goes. Hopefully we will meet you on the other side at some point. Best wishes  Lynne |

I'm sure things will work out for you and we will meet up. I can honestly say I am trying out my anxiety management and it's a load of twaddle, deep breaths, yeah right!!
It's not working, now where's the valium;) I'll make sure I remind you when it's your turn. :p I'm meant to be going shopping in a bit, but have spent the last few hours crying so have puffy eyes. God knows what I'll be like at the airport:eek: must say i would be soooooo upset as well i hate being apart from my husband, ( yes there are some of us ) I really hope you can sell the house and cars, is there no chance of renting it out ? that will be our last resort if we can't sell, where are you staying when you get there ? |

It's all the bloody goodbye's, it's nice to know we'll be missed but it makes leaving difficult. Right off to stop moping and pull myself together or get some doggy cuddles and pancakes  |

I'm staying in a families basement so at least I won't be on my own, I'm just realising how much I'll miss Al & my babies (Bully & Tiah my dogs).

Right off to stop moping and pull myself together or get some doggy cuddles and pancakes  WOW good for you girl. We nearly had to seperate- house sales etc. In the end we didn't but it became very rushed at the end. We ended up with FOUR leaving do's, and that was the most stressful bit; all thoses goodbyes and tears. I really thought I would be a wreck on the plane; but once in the minibus to airport it became an adventure; enjoy the ride. PS After seven weeks together (hubby not working yet) I think we both need some space! |

Re: Pre move wobble
All the best for your new start Sharon - you'll be in a whirlwind when you get here, sussing out stuff that you probably won't have the time to worry too much.
Keep us posted on how its going and look forward to catching up with you at some point in the future. Flossie |
Re: Pre move wobble
Sharon these last 3 days will fly and you'll experience every emotion under the sun - but you know what - there's f**k all you can do about it so go with the flow.
Cry when you leave, laugh at good memories and exist on the adrenaline of not sleeping from oooooh probably Thursday night. You'll be so excited to be there you won't know what hit you! When you get there pm me and i'll come over to Calgary and get you and take you out with some of the guys for a good old Drumheller knees up! We're having a house warming on 23rd Feb so you can come to that  |
