A kid at my old school used to pull the 'pincher' things off the end of earwigs then
Another favourite was gently pressing sellotape onto the back of a woodlouse, holding it between two hands with the louse stuck and then
At least when I tried to catch flies on the window by trying to spear them with a pin they had a very good chance. Until swatting them with a rolled up newspaper.
Arguably preferable to a slow choking death from adults using fly-spray
Of course little girls are made from sugar and spice and wouldn't dream of doing such things.
