Default Political "Attack Ads"

Outrageous. They should be outlawed.

The right wing seem to love them though.

Whether the reference to the ignorant was aimed at me or the electorate.

All political campaigning is aimed at the relatively small proportion of the electorate that are liable to change parties. Attack ads have been around for a long time. They are no different to nicely-nicely ads.

What a ridiculous statement.

Yes they've been around for a long time in the States but it's only recently I've seen them in Canada. And it always seems to be the Conservatives.

I pay little attention to such things, so I have no idea if this statement is true or not. If it is, does it not suggest that they are the better strategists?

Maybe. In the same way Diego Maradona was the best tactician at the 1986 World Cup final, particularly against England.

Really, I thought he scored once by virtue of the "goal of the tournament" and also scored via the infamous "hand of god". One through sheer brilliance and the ineptitude of his opponents, one through cheating. In which way do you believe the Conservatives are similar?

Not ridiculous at all. Attack does not have to be a full frontal assault.

Except that sadly they seem to work.

Bored by the election already, dont fancy either side. After watching Capitalism: a Love Story Ive half a mind to waste my vote on the greens and just continue to ignore the whole sorry campaign.
