His 'Senior' Tory colleagues appear to be reaching for the cane as well.
This China 5g business has our hero dangling by his nadgers.
But... Fear not, for Our Hero's made of sterner stuff, the stuff that only years of beatings and late night torture sessions at Eton were intended to prepare him for.
He'll recognise those ill intentioned pokes in the back for what they really are.
It'll take a large lump of Kryptonite strapped to his groin to keep this one down, but I get the impression that down in the bowls of parliament, there are those assembling the ingredients that'll make the stuff as we speak.
Those insatiable vultures are circling, the question is whose carcass will they be tearing at next?
