Found a couple of good places to watch live online..
youtube.com/watch?v=_nfJkMYMWGo (don't turn your volume on, they have issues with voice-overs)
youtube.com/watch?v=saxxtbWv4HA
http://live.slooh.com/stadium/live/p...or-shower-2016
Nasa's view was cloudy so I gave up on that one!
(I removed the www parts to stop them auto loading)
If you can't be bothered to sit and watch, this video (time lapse) is pretty good! I particularly liked the lake part at 1.47 - great reflections!

A few years ago Mum and I sat out in the back tpyard to watch them. We were about to give up when we suddenly saw them whooshing around.

Some time ago we had booked a "Twilight" train ride at Apen Crossing, Mossleigh AB for last night, and recently realised that it was going to coincide with Perseids. We thought huge bonus.
The evening started out reasonably well there were clouds but they appeared to be clearing nicely. Unfortunately as our train ride came to an end around 10:00 pm the clouds thickened somewhat making it it impossible to see much of the night sky and after some time we gave up and drove back to Calgary.
Did get some nice golden hour and sunset shots from the train so the evening wasn't a complete bust.
