10.18 and 9.45 ----------- never knew that canada had different time zones - always thought it was America and Australia - why do they never teach us this stuff in geography instead of bleeding cloud formation and earth build up ?

Gutted.......we took her to Chapters tonight, spent another $20 odd on books for her. Shouldn't moan I spose :)

sorry - music for some reason won't work for me. I even downloaded some classics like the famous Lullaby etc but it all just repeats in my brain.

I'm actually really tired and yawning my head off but I can't get comfy in warm bed linen.

Think I might have to try somebody's tip of putting the pillow in a bag in the freezer for 15 minutes to cool it down. The idea is that that by the time it warms up again you'll have fallen asleep on something cool and fresh.

well whenever you want or can. Honestly ........... it breaks my heart at the town bars when a glass of fruit juice for the kids is more expensive than a glass of wine !!!!!!!!!!

Not that I'm going to start ordering wine for the kids just to save a few pennies despite what the brits are calling the "credit crunch" !!!!! The little dears don't get to the big town centre that often so i think they can have a little glas of juice or lemonade .... and if I have to start credit crunching or whatever thay can just share a jug of water ------- Mum will still get her wine !!!!!!

Re: The Pass Inn and Pass Out

it's not foolish ...........

when I applied for a job that advertised a post near Verona and Venezia they were kind of right .......... they never mentioned that both cities are an hour away and that the town and villages around it are so small that many of them do not show up on ordanance survey maps !!!!!!!

After being here so long though - it is true that venice and verona and also Padova are just about an hour away by train and car and Lake Garda is one hour too. We also have all the mountains on our doorsteo for ski-ing and the very big touristy citis like Milan and florence and Pisa are 2 to 3 hours.

Downside ..... little towns - smaller villages equals little mentalities and light years away from UK
