That will pass I am sure and you soon will be eating your usual stuff.

You seem to have picked a lovely part of Canada to settle

No job lined up as yet, just in the process of finding p-t work to fit in with the kids and their school hours.

Have you got a job to come over to in NS, we did it the PNP way

Sort of but it is a catch 22 situation. I am told wow we want someone with your experience and qualifications etc but we have to hire Canadians first off the street who have to be taught from new.

With a bit of local knowledge and working ways I could do the job now and they know that so I am trying the CI route with their support and see how that goes. Not a lot is happening at the moment due to the summer holidays so will be doing some chasing next week!!

A job in a school would be a good one for you and then you work the same hours as the kids and get all the holidays off.

O/H was in the same position, they wanted him for the job but they had to advertise it first to see if a canadian could fill the position.

It was scary, as the job had to be advertised for a certain length of time.

Its so frustrating , isn't it?

This job has been advertised for some time now and because of union rules they have to employ local first and there is more applying than jobs.

The fact that I am better than 90% of them does seem to count. I don't mean to boast but I have a proven track record and even HR were impressed but rules are rules!!

So I will keep trying
