I'm not Italian. I'm British.

I have lived here long enough to become a very circumspect British person with some very bad Italian traits :rofl:

I am however, just your old fashioned plain Jane from Yorkshire with no hiddden motives apart from the one of scrounging drinks ............ so who's going to get me one ?????

well ........... on every official piece of paper I have I am "Lorna Jane ... surname"

Italians write names backwards to us on every bit of official paper so in the phone book and on all my bills I was +++++++++++++ Lorna Jane.

I had a few Italian phone maniacs years ago that rang up and said things like,

"Ciao jane - guess what i am doing?"

That's one reason why my kids do NOT have a second name here. Avoid confusion and misinterpretation!

well I could say a pint glass but I thought I'd be a little more lady-like tonight and refined ..... so I am just using a normal wine glass.

I am filling it quite frequently though.

Next time I might just drink straight from the bottle !
