I have a "lost" friend too at the age of 37 and married just one year so whilst we are here having a little drink let's raise our glasses to them and then live as i'm sure they'd all want us to !

mine's the usual Italian white wine but I am a bit partial to a nice G&T now and again and I loved a few mojitos this summer.

Back in the Uk pubs I generally go for cider as cannot and will not pay the price of a glass of wine. Not after living here !

I seem to have been busy doing not a lot really.

We've finally had the builders in to sort out the leak in the kitchen and bathroom....the girls are running me ragged, I'm cheesed off with clearing up after them etc. (Simon included), and being alone (sometimes...does have some advantages...NO snoring!)

I've started to go to lace making class to get me out just one night a week. I've had a spell of not being well with coughs, colds wheezes and diseases....but now I'm on a mission as I have to go back into hospital to have more surgery 19th December - great timing to get out of Chrissy dinner...lol

We don't seem to have met really - I'm Harry and one of the orginal gang who has been AWOL for a while....I'm down in the SEast UK and waiting to get out of here...originally to Canada, but now possible Washington DC with OH job....but for now just waaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttiiiiiii iiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg

and getting out of the cooking is not really an option as we often do the big cjristmas day at my sister's house and she hates cooking (and is not the best chef either) so I still end up doing most of it. But I love it .... once a year and surroundeed by family that day. They are all as crazy as me (must get it from somewhere) and we have such a laugh.

I'd love to have them all at my house in italy one year but it's not big enough and they prefer to come in the hot summer anyway.

I'm more of an imposter than part of the gang but I've had a few drinks here now over the last few months. Time zones mean that often fellow pals and drinkers are around in other countries when I'm on-line so I do a bit of bar hopping. My Oh is often away for work and I like the company here and especially the all british bantering and sense of humour ............ something sorely lacking in italy.

I really hope you get to you chosen destination soon ..... in the meantime .... keep up with that patience - lol !

I do love xmas:thumbsup: its great having a big family do with everyone there, i will miss this when we move, but hopefully with us having a real white xmas we may get family to come over to us:thumbup:

DS was talking about the yellow school buses today, that they have in Canada and he thinks they are quite cool, he is also asking whether they have "cool" things at school to play with:wub:

Well....

The only problem with that though is on my chrissy dinner I like soggy sprouts...(only then) but they have to be soggy - got him in training though...just bought me my soup ... carrot and cumin - made it earlier - yumm yumm pigs bum!

But anyhow, do you think after last year he might try to delegate....see below?
