I'm OK - Canada is currently stuffed, just trying to work out if another job advertised is worth applying for.

I had a job offer dependant on a merger, LMO in place and everything.
Merger has now been abandoned, therefore no job. Yep, looking and looking - gt a couple of irons in the fire but it seems most people are being very conservative when it comes to recruiting at the moment. Can't blame them can you lets hope this weeks results with USA and interest rates helps  Just to rub salt into the wound, a woman at work handed in her notice today because her OH has got a 'start now' offer in NZ. Payed for visas, paying for container next week, needs him to start before Crimbo. Jealous, who, me? Nooooooo:curse:

Lucky for you they are both ex job now:eek:
But I know what you mean!! The one in NZ applied for the job and within six months gone!! All shipping paid for, flights paid for all the immigration stuff sorted. Then you have Canada a country that is short of people and skills and keeps saying they want people but makes the process hard to get in!! |

Hi everyone:thumbup:
Great to see you HPM, sorry you missed Kew, it was a laugh Hi FK and Lorna:thumbup: Not too bad here, just had some bad news though, someone I used to work with has just passed away, had a tumour and she was only 27 ish:(:( |
Re: The Pass Inn and Pass Out
Stupid dentist started chatting whilst working on kids' teeth.
"Oh English .... OHHH your Daddy is from ireland. I'd love to o there or even Scotland. Is it expensive? How much are flights generally?" A lot cheaper than you, I replied. My sense of humour went straight over his head. When he told me to go by the secretary's office to book a second appointment on my way out, I said "okay - will do .... and then I'll go straight to the bank to ask for a loan." he looked at me all nonplussed. |

Yes - happend to me a while ago, made a really good friend while I was long term temping and I sent an email to her at work, it bounced, and again and again and it was after a while that the system administrator contacted me with the news that Linda had died suddenly from a massive brain hemorrhage at the age of 42. It is very sad as it always seems to happen to the nice people....
