Not to mention that there's waiting lists at most parking lots and parkades for monthly parking.

Parking in this city is hell. Expensive hell.
15 to 30 seems to be the range of daily parking using impark website, the outlying area's of downtown are cheaper obviously then the closer in area's where people want...lol

I just find the parking high, but it's really all relative to what you make and income one has, someone else may find them affordable, but for us it really is a hardship and only way to pay is to reduce grocery budget.

I just don't think parking should be charged for medical appointments and that is where my issue is, otherwise I am okay with paid parking for most other things.

I do think employers should pay for their employees parking though, airline always did for us, and airport parking isn't cheap.

I saw a sign the other day that said "Monthly parking only."

What if you want to drive your car during the month?

We just spent a night in Downtown, parking at the hotel was $40 for the one night.

Downtown hotels anywhere in a major city have insane parking. I worked at one in So. California that was 50 per night for guests.

Why is car parking not a pro for a hotel? Something that attracts one to the place because parking is easy.

Will we see the day when hotels charge a supplement for a pillow? And then, when that's become the norm, a bed?

Parking is at a premium in downtown locations as is land, and those staying downtown don't have a choice if they drive since everyone else is charging so the hotel may as well use parking as a revenue sources.

Downtown hotels can get away with charging for things that non-downtown locations never could.
