Hi Guys
just a bit confused... I am in windsor but have to pop across to detroit next week to pick Mrs J up from Detroit Metro airport.
Do I need anything in addition to my UK passport? Is an ESTA form necessary? ( I remember having one once but it must surely have now expired!)
grateful for any advice on making the quick border hop as painless as possible for a UK "New boy" to Canada.
Thanks all
JJ

You will need to fork out $6US though for the I-94W (a green form). This can be in US bills or by credit card. As well as the ol' fingerprints & photograph malarkey.

We crossed into NY state last week to go skiing, and spent 1.50hours in the processing room with nothing to do, or drink. No esta needed, just patients. Officers were pleasant and told us to try to pick a less busy time next time. This was at Buffalo, so we will be more selective about future times!!
