Anyone in or around Ottawa - I'm in the process of applying to emigrate (the missus is Canadian)

We have been here 46 years.

Just moved from Ottawa, was there 10 years.

We've been here for just over two years. Previous two were in NS. I'm Canadian, originally from Winnipeg.

So eventually you manage to move somewhere with class?

My complete journey is Winnipeg-Sheffield-Manchester-Liverpool-Chester-NS-Ottawa so it has been a long, hard slog.

The general reaction in NS to our move to Ottawa ranged between bewilderment and outright disgust.

It's a pretty city................

Just asking 'cos plan is to move there some time on the near future - my wife (Canadian) lives there - visited a few times so I know what the place looks like and already have some Canadian friemds there -wondered if there were people there from the forum what they thought about it - how the job market is etc etc

Your wife is here now? Where are you?

I think Ottawa is a great city. As for the job market - what do you do?
