If you are looking at Apple, I have the MacBook and the MacBook Pro. If you're not rendering huge movies etc but looking at a good workhorse, the MacBook would do fine. Smaller screen but I found the wireless performance much better on my wife's MB than the MBP I have. If you want specific questions answered just PM me Butch.

hi all
hubby bought me the apple hard drive(small white box, brill) and we have attaced it to the 28" plasma for pics and music (along with good speakers (JBL)). Got the wireless mouse and key board, and it brill, a lot easier to use, better softwear already installed...... etc .... have a large screen for all those complaining letters......
Have your bog standard laptops too.... hubby transfers files from one to the other and has no probs...
