thanks for the tablet recipie
mines is not the same so here is mine that I have
half pound of butter or margarine (225g)
one pound sweet condensed milk (450g)
4 pounds castor sugar (1.8kg)
1 pint water
a few drops of vanilla
pour the water into a sauce pan and add the butter or margarine and heat slowly stirring all the time once boiled, add the condensed milk and simmer for 20 minutes. add the vanilla drops stir
pour in to a greased proof dish and when partly cool cut in to bars 5 inches by 1/2 inches wide
thats the scottish recipie for tablet
maybe you can get it to work cos its nice when made right

ah, i'll have to give it a go!
tablet is a strange thing - i use my great aunties recipe, so does my mum, and they all taste different. for some reason, mine always comes out better than my mums (to her disgust) and she taught me how to make it!!!
