Really? But your example suits the first one much more.

If I said "Good movie, eh?" I'm not asking you if it was good, I'm seeking confirmation you thought so too.

I think I win the gold medal for that.

The only supposed Canadian use I've heard fits neither and hasn't even involved a questioning tone and just seems like a random word ending a sentence. That's why I find it a puzzle, um.

Gold awarded. That was my intended meaning. Maybe we need little maple leaf / union flag superscripts to denote the nuance of tricky words.

Your example is British eh or American huh. Innit.

Sort of like my job when I ask you to open your boot at a land border crossing.

That would elicit the puzzlement version of eh?

Off topic but more interesting than the winter games.

It was a nice opening ceremony. Not too OTT. Quite moving to see a unified Korea, even. Although must be hard for the hockey players that were displaced by the joint team decision.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if an American athletes nails Kim Jong-Un's sister who is in attendance and then Tweets about it using Trumps account

CBC has it as one word Pyeongchang
Olympic website has it as PyeongChang with a capital C

Sort it out FFS.

Woo hoo for the Canadian mixed curling team. Lost the opener to Norway but then beat the USA. Thats some adrenaline filled, high speed, dangerous sport to compete in
If curling wants be taken seriously as a sport they shouldn’t wait until the last minute to clean the ice.

Now as this is a family thread and not TIO I will not suggest that you look at the bios and pictures of some very good looking and very fit lady curlers and turning on the curling but closing your eyes and listening to the screams of Hurry Hurry Hard Hard, Yes Yes and then tell me you don't enjoy this sport

I see that they've failed to include female naked snow wrestling yet again.
It's about time we sacked the IOC and recruited some perverts in their place.
I'm sure they could come up with some more imaginative 'sports'.
