But my last post as a mod here.

Some of you have been kind enough to ask after me as Ive not been posting much, and although I will no doubt post here from time to time in future I dont have the time or inclination to be an effective presence here at the moment so the time to step back as a mod is here. Calls to David Moyes to line him up as a successor have so far not been returned, although I understand hes had a busy few days.

Id like to thank Ray and Sue for thinking of me as a safe pair of hands in the first place, ChristmasOoompa and lately Siouxie for their sterling work as mods here, its been a pleasure, and the rest of you for not being too unruly most of the time.

In future you will have to excuse the larger number of incomprehensible typos and grammatical errors as I will no longer be able to use my indefinite editing powers to correct them, which is after all, the primary reason that I accepted the position in the first place.

So Sue can now flick the switch, and I will wait for the keys to the swanky BE emeriti apartment in Rome to arrive by courier....
